  • Yes. As a registered owner, you are liable for any citations regardless of whether or not you were using the vehicle at the time the citations were issued.

  • The parking program has the authority to use wheel locks (boots) on illegally parked vehicles for which there are 3 or more outstanding, unpaid, and overdue parking tickets.

  • Parking fine amounts vary depending on the violation. Most parking violations are $50. If not paid, within 72 hours, the penalty is $60; if not paid within 10 days, the penalty is $70.

  • If you fail to pay or appeal the violation within 5 days, a late fee of $10 will be applied to the violation amount. After 12 days, the late fee of $20 will be applied to the violation amount.

    If you continue to ignore your obligation to pay, the Town may seek alternative forms of collection, including a collection agency, credit bureau action, or small claims court. Individuals who accumulate 3 or more unpaid citations are subject to have the vehicle immobilized (booted) or towed until full payment is made.
