 | Mayor Ken Dull was first elected in 2017 to serve a four-year term on the Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen and was re-elected to serve an additional four-year term. In December 2025, he was elected Mayor of Wrightsville Beach and is currently serving a two-year mayoral term running from December 11, 2025, through December 2027.
Mayor Dull grew up in High Point, NC and moved to Wilmington in 1987. He has been a permanent resident of Wrightsville Beach since 1988. He graduated from NC State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is the owner of McKinley Building Corporation. He served on the New Hanover County Planning Board (serving as Chairman for two years) and on the City of Wilmington Planning Commission (serving as Chairman for part of that time). He also maintains positions in many other civic, professional and religious organizations, including the Cape Fear Rotary Club. He is married to Vicki, and they have 2 children. His favorite pastimes include boating and golfing. |

 | Mayor Pro Tempore Jeff DeGroote was first elected to the Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen in 2019, serving a four-year term. He was re-elected to serve another four-year term, with his current term expiring in 2027. In December 2025, he was voted by the Board of Aldermen to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore. During his tenure, he has served on several key boards and committees, including the Marketing Committee, the CAMA Land Use Steering Committee, and the Wrightsville Beach Planning Board. Mayor Pro Tem DeGroote grew up in Wilmington and has lived on Wrightsville Beach for more than 25 years. He owns both residential and commercial properties on the island, providing him with a unique and well-rounded perspective on local governance. He also owns and operates multiple businesses in Wrightsville Beach. Jeff lives on the south end of the island with his wife, Ashley, their son, Webb, and their dog, Carter. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, golfing, boating, and spending time with his family. |

 | Alderman Partin has owned property on Wrightsville Beach since 1987 and has been a permanent resident since 2003. She graduated from NC State University with a degree in Economics and Accounting and previously held an active CPA license. She has a 31-year career with the State of North Carolina holding positions as Assistant State Controller and NC Department of Transportation as Chief Financial Officer. She received the prestigious ORDER OF THE LONG LEAF PINE at her retirement. She also had a career in technology sales and services. She served on the Wrightsville Beach Planning Board until her election as Alderman.
Other community volunteer involvement includes New Hanover County ABC Board (former chair), Harbor Island Garden Club, and the Airlie Gardens Foundation Board (former President). She is married to Joe Partin, and they have one adult daughter, Elizabeth Smith, and two grandchildren who live in Wilmington. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, boating, exercising and traveling. |

 | Alderman Baggett was elected in November 2025 to serve a four-year term on the Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen. A resident of Wrightsville Beach for more than 25 years, Margaret has long been an active and dedicated member of the community she calls home. Her service to Wrightsville Beach includes involvement with the Wrightsville Beach Museum, the Planning Board, the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, the Harbor Island Garden Club, and the Historic Landmark Commission. Margaret raised her two sons in Wrightsville Beach and is now a proud grandmother to one grandson. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from St. Mary’s, her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a graduate degree from Meredith College. |

 | Todd Schoen moved to Wilmington in 1992 and has lived on Wrightsville Beach since 1994, residing on both Harbor Island and the Beach Strand. He and his wife, Ginger, were married in 2003 and have twin boys, Mason and Gabriel, who were born in 2009. All the boys are lifetime surfers and the whole family spend much of their time on the beach and the water.
Todd owns and operates European Coatings, a family business established in 1974 that manufactures and distributes Industrial Coatings nationwide.
He currently serves on the Ports, Waterway, & Beach Commission as well as the Bridge Replacement Committee.
