SALISBURY STREET UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Salisbury Street Utility Improvements will be received by The Town of Wrightsville Beach, NC, at the office of the Town Manager until 2:00 P.M. local time on March 8, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of installation of approximately 385 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water main; replacement of approximately 200 linear feet of 8- and 6-inch PVC water main with 8-inch DI watermain; replacement of approximately 210 linear feet of 8- and 6-inch cast iron water main with 8- and 6-inch PVC watermain; replacement of approximately 200 linear feet of 6-inch cast iron water main with 2-inch PVC water main; replacement of approximately 635 linear feet of 3-inch galvanized water main with 2-inch PVC water main; installation of approximately 235 linear feet of 2-inch PVC water main; replacement of approximately 445 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer; installation of approximately 487 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer; and related work.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Contact Susan Sperbeck () or Allison Andrews () at the office of Highfill Infrastructure Engineering, 2703 Jones Franklin Road, Suite 201, Cary, NC 27518 (919-481-4342) for an electronic copy of the Bidding Documents at no charge.
The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. local time on February 26, 2019 at the Wrightsville Beach Town Hall, 321 Causeway Drive. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
