[ARCHIVED] Tree Lighting Ceremony

FINAL Tree Lighting 8.5x11

The Town of Wrightsville Beach is pleased to host a number of great holiday events occurring Thanksgiving weekend.  Friday, November 23rd, marks the Town’s 12th annual Town of Wrightsville Beach Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Festivities begin at 5:00 pm with music, hot chocolate, and sweet treats provided by the Wrightsville United Methodist Youth.  Then, at 5:30 pm listen to your Christmas favorites sung by our Elf Patrol who welcomes Santa and Mrs. Claus at their scheduled 5:45 pm arrival.  The Wilmington Celebration Choir continues the festivities with a grand musical performance to top off your evening and visit with Santa.

On Saturday, November 24th, the North Carolina Holiday Flotilla celebration will begin with the Festival in the Park from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm in Wrightsville Beach Park.  Come shop over 80 local vendors, stroll through the car show, enjoy music, food, fun activities for the kids and more!  That evening the Boat Parade begins promptly at 6:00 pm followed by an exciting fireworks display.  Arrive early as the Wrightsville Beach drawbridge will be raised at 6:00 pm to allow the boats to travel down the Intracoastal Waterway to the Banks Channel parade route.  And, when you park, please make certain that your vehicle is off the roadway and not blocking emergency vehicle access, which could hinder response to emergency calls.

Come and join the fun at Wrightsville Beach this Thanksgiving weekend!  For further information, call 910-256-7925.
