Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue Junior Lifeguard Program
The Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue Junior Lifeguard Program is committed to teaching the fundamentals of beach safety, first aid, and environmental awareness in a physically active and fun-filled week of activities. The Junior Lifeguards will learn from, and sometimes alongside, current WBOR Lifeguards, gaining a true sense of the role, responsibilities, and rewards of today’s oceanfront professionals.

Lacrosse Camp
Cape Fear Academy Head Coach Paul Gilbert leads the Summer Lacrosse Camp at Wrightsville Beach Park. His team of instructors includes local area middle school and high school coaches. The goal of this camp is to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse to youth in a fun and positive way. Sessions will consist of stick skills, and drills teaching proper catching and throwing. In addition to teaching the rules of the game, sportsmanship will be taught, modeled and rewarded.

Tennis Camp
Tennis pro Jackie Jenkins has been a UKLTA registered coach since 1977. Instruction includes the beginning basics of tennis emphasizing sound fundamentals, from grips and proper footwork, to stroke production and movement. QuickStart sessions will be offered for youth ages 6 - 8 and 9 - 12. The QuickStart method provides for a smaller court and racket, lower net, and tennis balls that have less bounce allowing the age 12 and under students to begin playing tennis almost immediately.

Basketball Camp
Groundwork Basketball Player Development, LLC leads this one-week camp with their team of professional skill development coaches. Groundwork coaches have basketball experience at the collegiate and professional level as well as years of personal coaching experience. During these 5 days, players will gain knowledge on ball handling, proper shooting form, correct shooting footwork, teamwork, leadership skills, defensive skills, and offensive moves.
